Simon and Tash recently visited Mapuru to complete the sale of the Cross tinnie. The boat will now be used at the community for grocery runs at the nearby community of Galiwinku. About a 15km journey by sea.
Mapuru is a remote community located 895km from Darwin in the beautiful top end of Australia.
They had a great couple of days out bush, Mapuru is a beautiful spot with only 40 residents and plenty of Mango and lemon trees planted a few decades ago to provide good shade.
The community has a strong leadership of elders and traditional owners that are pointing the local children towards a decent education.
